A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to invalid addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated address or has made a typo. The drawback of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk messages, but this issue can be rectified by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also vital to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot forward inbound email messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it’s incredibly intuitive, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the given address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires yet another mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulties even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you’ve created with your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t need this feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
