Dot NET Domain Names

When the Dot NET generic top-level domain name extension was initially introduced in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was planned to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure establishments. Because of the fact that there were no special rules about the usage of the TLD, though, dot NET domains were registered and used for various purposes and by lots of people. This extension is an ideal substitute of dot COM, notably if the desired domain with the latter extension is not available for registration.

Securing a .NET domain with our firm is easy and takes only a couple of minutes, taking into account that we are partners with an ICANN-accredited registrar firm. You can acquire such a domain for a period between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already have a domain, you can transfer it to our firm and we will renew it when the transfer process is finished. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, given that they are not locked and that you have obtained an EPP transfer authorization code – security measures established by the dot NET Registry against unauthorized transfers. You can easily update the WHOIS contacts of the domain through your Control Panel tool, or, if you don't wish this information to be visible at all, you can buy a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to see your actual contact details.

The .NET domain name extension supports internationalized names, so you can choose if you want to concentrate on a particular country or area using a domain name in the regional language, or the global web community – using a generic English name.
